paris apartment, the marais, paris, france

This interiors project is situated in a 19th-c. Haussmann building in the heart of Paris with views overlooking the city. The task involved merging two small one-bedroom apartments to form a two-bedroom home. Working with the existing features of the historic building, the enfilade rooms were sequenced to maximize air and light. The space was completed by furniture sourced from Swedish antique dealers in the famous flea markets located just north of Paris.

This Paris apartment exemplifies the Preservation Green LLC approach of combining historic craftsmanship with the advantages of new technologies and smart living. Both European and American design elements were used to create an open, modern space within an old world fabric.
