Villa Morning Rose, Cap Ferrat, France

The Villa Morning Roses occupies a special site, as it slopes dramatically down to the Mediterranean Sea in one of the most exclusive regions of France. Within the green zone of the Cote d'Azure, the owner requested a landscape master  plan to integrate the site's natural features and steep slope with the existing residence adapted by a New York architect.

The masterplan uses many native and drought-tolerant plants, incorporating a walled cloister garden, an exedra garden, stone paths and steps, and a vanishing edge pool with vine covered pergolas for shade against the hot Mediterranean sun.
